About Us
We invite you to join our journey, visit the farm, support our mission and feed your families with nutritious, succulent food.

Our Roots
In 1986, Julie & Felton Jenkins, Jr.(1941-2011) acquired the land. Our roots go back to the mid-1800’s from the family of John Morgan & Mary Davis.
Growing & Changing
Not so long ago, the Muscogee-Creek First Nations people lived in harmony with the blessed grounds of the Georgia Piedmont region. Their stewardship continued until 1832, when their lives were profoundly disrupted by broken treaties.
In the midst of a rich history of both blessing and curse, we seek faithfulness to the Creator’s first vocation given to humankind –to tend and serve the garden of Eden (Gen 2:15).
Our family lost two parcels of land, totaling 90 acres, under threat of condemnation by government eminent domain. Most of our land is now permanently protected by conservation easements held by the Georgia Alabama Land Trust.

Our Mission
Academy Mill Farm is a family-owned and operated farming business with a mission- to protect this Morgan County land from encroaching development, all the while providing affordable, nutritious food for local residents. We proudly partner with Dennis and Candace Beam of Broadwell Farms with their registered Santa Gertrudis cattle.
